The Recreation and Parks Department offers year-round recreation programs and special events to meet the interests and needs of children, teens, adults, and seniors with disabilities. Programs are designed to encourage socialization, and overall well-being as well as to promote fun and enjoyment.
Adventure Days (Age 16+)
Adventure days are offered one Saturday a month, September through May. Activities are varied and can include arts and crafts, games and social time. This event is wheelchair accessible. Bring a lunch; beverages are provided.
Fee: $12 (Pre-registration is required)
Time: 10am - 1:30pm

Differently Abled Adults Dances (Age 16+)
Supported by Becoming Independent, these dances are the second Monday of every month (unless otherwise noted). A DJ provides music for dancing and soft drinks are available for purchase. Participants must have a current I.D. and emergency phone number for admission. The dances are wheelchair accessible.

Youth Summer Camps
This day camp is for children and teens with developmental disabilities. Campers will enjoy boating, crafts, songs, story time, games and outdoor cooking.
