League Information
Our fall leagues will feature a 6-game regular season, with one additional week for playoffs. Teams will play the same night each week. Playoffs will be a one-night playoff featuring the top 4 teams of each league. The deadline to make roster changes will be Oct. 2. To ensure player safety we will enforce a legal bat list on all fields. The winner of regular season league play will receive championship t-shirts. The winner of the league championship game will receive a plaque. All teams are required to wear matching shirts with numbers on the back. Numbers must be a minimum 6" in height and permanently affixed, no tape. Numbers can be drawn on with permanent marker. There are no requirements for matching socks, hats, or pants.
Also included in all leagues will be the following:
- One umpire per game (provided by North Coast Officials' Association)
- Scorekeeper (scoresheets & lineup cards)
- Awards (15 League Champion shirts)
- Lights (where and when needed)
- Field Preparation (full drag & water + field markings)
High-Performance Bat Policy
Santa Rosa Recreation Department has a concern for the safety of the player's in our leagues, due to the technology of the bats being developed each year. To help with some of the problems the City of Santa Rosa will allow only single wall aluminum only bats for the current softball season. At no time will multi-wall bats or bats containing composite or titanium be allowed. The City of Santa Rosa reserves the right to ban any bat during the season that may cause a safety issue, including some single wall bats.

Field Assignments & Requests
The Play Santa Rosa Sports Staff determines all League Divisions and Field assignments. During registration, each manager will indicate their top three choices for night and field of play, which helps staff to place teams appropriately. While staff do their best to make accommodations, no requests are guaranteed.
Team Registration
We only register whole teams. If you do not have a team you can email [email protected] and ask to be put on the Free Agents list. At the managers meeting, there will be copies of this list, and if teams need players they will contact you.
