Reports & Data
Santa Rosa Water strives to protect public health and the environment by collecting and treating wastewater, recycling high quality water and promoting pollution prevention through compliance with all applicable local, state and federal rules, regulations and permit requirements.
In 2020, the North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board (Regional Water Board) issued a five-year National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit and Waste Discharge Requirements for surface water discharges to the City of Santa Rosa (NPDES Permit). Additionally, in 2020 the City was issued a Notice of Applicability (NOA) from the Regional Water Board, providing coverage for the City’s Recycled Water Program under the State Water Resources Control Board Water Reclamation Requirements for Recycled Water Use. Through compliance provisions within the NPDES Permit and NOA, SRW operates wastewater treatment, storage, disposal and reclamation facilities, employing state of the art, advanced tertiary treatment facilities and producing high quality recycled water that is beneficially re-used in cutting-edge water reclamation projects.
Annual Report
The NPDES Permit’s Annual Report provides an Annual Compliance Summary and Sludge Handling and Disposal (Biosolids) Activity Reports. The Pretreatment Annual Report provides specifics on the industrial pretreatment program as mandated by the NPDES permit. Details regarding the distribution and use of the City’s recycled water program is outlined in the Recycled Water Annual Report.
