City Attorney
The City Attorney’s Office has a total staff of thirteen positions consisting of seven attorneys and six support staff.

City Clerk
The City Clerk is the local Elections Official as specified by City Charter and State law.

City Manager
The City Manager is responsible for the overall management and administration of the City of Santa Rosa, based upon the City Charter and the policy direction provided by the City Council.

Communications and Intergovernmental Relations
The Communications & Intergovernmental Relations Office (CIRO) is responsible for developing accessible and timely communication about city initiatives, programs, and services to enhance and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with the community and inform the public on current initiatives, events, and important topics in Santa Rosa. CIRO manages the daily operation of the City’s communications channels, including the website and social media accounts, guides and facilitates engagement with the media and the public, and provides departments with strategic communications counsel.

Community Engagement
The Office of Community Engagement houses citywide community engagement efforts and the Violence Prevention Partnership.

Finance
As the fiscal steward of the City’s resources the Finance Department provides excellent customer service, as well as ethical oversight and management of public funds.

Fire
The Santa Rosa Fire Department is made up of sworn and civilian employees who are highly capable and proud of their profession. We will meet the challenges of the future wholeheartedly and continue to provide high-quality services to citizens in the Santa Rosa community.

Housing & Community Services
The Department of Housing and Community Services administers a variety of programs to revitalize blighted and economically disadvantaged areas and develops and administers a variety of affordable housing programs.

Human Resources
The Human Resources Department serves our community by attracting and retaining a highly qualified workforce and creating a work environment for them that supports their commitment to public service, reflects the diversity of the community, and minimizes risk to the human and fiscal resources of the City.

Information Technology
The Information Technology Department develops, leverages and implements technology to make government more efficient, transparent and responsive to citizens.

Parking
The Parking department manages parking for the downtown business area, Railroad Square and six restricted residential parking zones, maintains five multi-level parking garages and ten surface parking lots and provides enforcement of parking meters, time zones and other restricted parking areas to ensure availability and turn-over of parking spaces.

Planning & Economic Development
Planning and Economic Development provides a wide range of development services to the community, developing long range plans for the growth of Santa Rosa and reviewing development proposals for consistency with those plans.

Our dedicated staff is committed to providing exceptional public safety services and taking a leadership role in building community partnerships to make our city a better, safer place to live, work and play.

Real Estate Services
The City of Santa Rosa Real Estate Services division provides centralized real estate services to City departments. These services include acquiring and leasing real property for public purposes and for use by City government, handling the sale or lease of City property to third parties, facilitating the release of public easements on private property, managing applications from third parties to use portions of City property, and maintaining listings and maps of City-owned properties.
