Thank you for your interest in doing business with the City of Santa Rosa. Many materials, supplies, equipment, minor public works, major public works and general services are procured through a centralized purchasing system, headed by the City Purchasing Agent via an online bidding system.
Both formal and informal solicitations may be processed through our online system. All responses are due at or before the time shown on each solicitation. Late responses cannot be accepted. It is the bidder's/proposer's responsibility to ensure that the most complete and current version of the solicitation, including addenda, has been downloaded.

AEP Procurement Award
Most often, individual departments needing services not general in nature will manage the procurement of Professional Services.
It is my mission to focus our City on best in class procurement operations that are forward thinking, focused on continuous strategic improvement and provide maximum bid visibility to the residents of our City as well as the bidding community.
Purchasing Staff Responsibilities
We encourage you to do business with the City. Purchasing staff's responsibility is to purchase the materials and services when needed by the City, at optimum quality and price, and to keep ever mindful that public monies are being spent. ADA compliant items are also purchased whenever possible. Vendors and potential vendors should keep in mind that the City of Santa Rosa policy requires that procurement of materials, services and construction services be done in a manner so as to encourage open competition (competitive bidding or competitive sealed proposals). A 1% local vendor preference is also offered for written solicitations when applicable. The City has an environmentally preferable purchasing policy, and looks to purchase environmentally friendly and recycled products whenever it is practical to do so.Purchasing Agent
