City Council / BPU Liaison Subcommittee (BPUCC)
This subcommittee of the Board of Public Utilities with representation from the City Council discusses and explores issues relating to the City’s water and sewer utilities and making recommendations to the full City Council.

Climate Action Subcommittee
The Climate Action Subcommittee (CAS) is charged with providing guidance and oversight of the implementation and update of the City’s Municipal Climate Action Plan and the Community Climate Action Plan with a goal of reducing the local greenhouse gas emissions and ensuring long-term sustainability and resilience from climate change and its effects.

OGTF Implementation Subcommittee (active)
The purpose of the Open Government Task Force Implementation Subcommittee is to receive public input and guide staff in the development of recommendations for the proposed Sunshine Ordinance and on the remaining Open Government Task Force recommendations still to be implemented.

Open Government Task Force (Inactive)
The purpose of this Task Force is to review applicable law, city policy and practice, and related information in order to develop a report that will inform the community about the current status of open and transparent government practice in the City of Santa Rosa.

Pension Reform Task Force (Inactive)
The purpose of this Task Force is to gather and review information in order to develop a report that will inform the community about matters relating to public pension reform in California; to specifically review current pension programs approved and utilized by the City of Santa Rosa as a part of the total compensation for city employees; to review the limitations and requirements of the California Public Employee Retirement System (CalPERS); and to present options for pension reform that the Mayor and City Council may wish to consider.

Public Safety Subcommittee
The Public Safety Subcommittee is charged with reviewing public safety issues, annual reports, and after-action reports for Police, Fire, and Emergency Services.

Rent Stabilization Subcommittee (Inactive)
The City Council has awarded a consultant contract to provide policy and management options for addressing residents’ concerns about the current cost and availability of rental housing in the City.

Roseland Annexation Committee (Inactive)
The purpose of this committee is to determine how costs associated with the annexation of the 620 acre Roseland county island will be funded.
