GANG PREVENTION AWARENESS MONTH (GPAM)The Santa Rosa Violence Prevention Partnership's annual Month-long series of events showcases community efforts to reduce youth violence and raise community awareness. At each event staff is on hand to dialogue and engage around The Partnership's efforts to create a safer community, and what the community can do to help support the cause. All events are FREE of charge with the exception of the Seminar which requires a registration fee.

Gang Prevention Seminar. The Partnership's Seminar, "Tipping the Scale: Our Role in Building Resiliency," will focus on trauma-informed implementation strategies and resources. We will take deeper drive into how we can strengthen our commitment to serving our youth and families that have experienced trauma. Breakfast and Lunch Provided. Parent Awareness Training. The Partnership's two hour-hour workshop designed to engage parents by bringing in violence prevention experts and resources specialist who will respond to questions and concerns so together, we can gain greater parent involvement and find positive alternatives for today's youth! The Roseland Unity Run is intended to bring together the Santa Rosa community around the Roseland neighborhood to bring awareness to the positive resources and healthy alternatives to violence. A second part of the event will feature a motivational speaker that will speak to youth and community members about the negative consequences of violence and positive alternatives.
