CREEK TO COAST CLEANUP ON THE PRINCE MEMORIAL GREENWAY
Saturday, September 21 | 9:30AM-12:00PM | Olive Park Footbridge (near 1698 Hazel St.)
Join us for the 35th Annual California Coastal Cleanup Day, where we will help care for a restored section of Santa Rosa Creek that flows through the heart of downtown Santa Rosa. All ages welcome. Gloves, tools, and snacks provided. Games and raffle prizes.
Monday, September 23 | 6:00PM-7:00PM | Prince Gateway Park (Santa Rosa Ave. and Sonoma Ave.)
Tour the huge underground culvert that runs under Downtown Santa Rosa. We’ll descend to the creek bed down a slope and over large rocks and walk across the creek (the water will be several inches deep). Wear your sturdy, closed toe, water proof shoes, no sandals. Bring your own flashlight.
Have you ever wondered what happens to your water after it goes down the drain? Join us for a fascinating and educational tour of the Laguna Wastewater Treatment Plant. All ages welcome. Sturdy, closed-toed shoes and socks are required.
