Youth Community Police Experience

Apply now for priority registration for the 2020 YCPE

The 2019 YCPE is now full. Please complete and submit your application for priority registration in the next YCPE in 2020, date TBD.

What is YCPE?

Do you know a Santa Rosa teen (ages 14 to 18) who is interested in a behind-the-scenes look at the Santa Rosa Police Department? The Youth Community Police Experience (YCPE) participants enjoy 4 days of hands-on learning about what to expect from their police department and share that knowledge with others. They get an introduction to the local criminal justice system, and a first-hand opportunity to learn the types of duties and responsibilities of police officers and police staff such as Patrol procedures, criminal investigations, narcotics, firearms, defensive tactics, emergency vehicle operations, and neighborhood oriented policing.

To participate, complete the application form and return it one of the following ways:

  • Mail it to Attn: Youth Community Police Experience 965 Sonoma Ave. Santa Rosa, CA 95404
  • Fax it to 707-543-3553, Attn: Youth Community Police Experience
  • Drop it off at the Santa Rosa Police Department, Attn: Youth Community Police Experience
