DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT OPPORTUNITY: DEPOT PARK PUBLIC ART

This public art opportunity is for one artist or team of artists to create a dynamic installation that reflects the identity of the historic Railroad Square neighborhood. Installations integrated with landscape or hardscape elements, and those with functional components will also be considered.PROJECT LOCATION
Installation will be sited at Depot Park in Historic Railroad Square. The small park is located at 9 Fourth Street, Santa Rosa, California, and is adjacent to the Santa Rosa main SMART (Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit) station and the Railroad Square California Welcome Center. The proposed public art should be contained to the park property, taking into consideration the existing amenities, including other artworks.PROJECT BUDGET
The maximum project budget is $32,000 and should be inclusive of all artist fees, and all expenses related to design development, including engineering, fabrication, travel, transportation and installation of the artwork, insurance, and all other project related expenses.
