Background:
Santa Rosa Water is planning to convert an existing test well at A Place to Play Park into an emergency groundwater well and pump station in 2020.
Project Purpose:
The conversion of this well will assist Santa Rosa in providing emergency water supply to customers in the event of a disaster or disconnection from the Sonoma aqueduct, the City’s main source of water. The conversion of the test well into an emergency well will include installing a pump and piping to tie the well into the existing water and sewer system, and constructing a new building to house the well and equipment. The 90’ by 90’ facility will be surrounded by a security fence.
