Public Art

Strategic Planning Process

Third Plateau, a social impact strategy firm, is partnering with the City of Santa Rosa to develop a strategic planning process and needs assessment for public art programming. Third Plateau and the City are looking for participants to do 45-minute phone interviews to talk about public art in Santa Rosa. Selected participants who complete the interviews will receive a $25 Visa gift card each.

If you are interested in participating, please complete this short questionnaire, and we will contact you if you are selected to participate in an interview:

Following the survey and feedback, the City and Third Plateau will report the shape and direction of the plan. Please check back to this page for updates.

Open & Out Call for Artists

In an effort to help Santa Rosa’s downtown businesses safely reopen, the City of Santa Rosa is allowing outdoor expansion of their activities into the parking strips along 4th street between B and E Street. The majority of 4th Street in this space will also be closed to car traffic. The new “footprint” for restaurants and retail, and pedestrian traffic, offer multiple opportunities for artists to use their creativity to create an artful, vibrant, temporary outdoor space for our community.

Applications to the artist pool are being accepted now, on a rolling basis, through July 31, 2020. Applicants may be contacted any time after July 1, 2020 and asked to work on designs for specific projects. Applicants must be able to complete their projects no later than September 30, 2020.

For more information and to complete an applications, visit the Santa Rosa Downtown District website.
