PARK BACKGROUND
Rinconada Park is a 2.2-acre Neighborhood Park purchased by the City of Santa Rosa in 1963. It is located at 4459 Yukon Drive adjacent to Madrone Elementary School in Northeast Santa Rosa. Before the property was purchased for a neighborhood park it was a plum orchard. Currently the park features a large grassy field, mature hardwood trees, and a bridge and paved walkway connecting the unpaved trail/access road along Ducker Creek through the park.

Neighborhood parks serve community members who live within a ½ mile radius or 10 minute walk of the park and typically provide space for informal play, children’s play structures, space for walking, picnic areas, passive natural area and at least one active recreation feature. Brush Creek Neighborhood Park is the only park that falls within a ½ mile of Rinconada Park. Amenities at Brush Creek Park include a playground, basketball court, picnic tables and a BBQ grill. Other nearby park amenities include a dog park, soccer fields, baseball and softball diamonds, multi-use trails, amusements, lake, fishing, boat ramp, and tennis courts.
