Replace old fixtures with FREE WaterSmart devices.
Santa Rosa residents can pickup FREE water-saving devices Monday - Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at 69 Stony Circle, Santa Rosa.
Available WaterSmart Devices:
WaterSmart Home Kit
This kit provides all you need to conduct your own water audit at your home including a flow bag to test how many gallons per minute your water devices use, toilet dye tabs to test your toilet for leaks, and literature about how to find and fix common plumbing leaks at your house.
Replacing your showerhead saves both water and energy. Old, inefficient showerheads use 2 – 4 gallons per minute (gpm), while a WaterSmart Home showerhead uses 1.5 gpm.
Kitchen and Bathroom Faucet Sink Aerator
Inefficient kitchen and bathroom faucets use 2 – 4 gallons per minute (gpm), while a new WaterSmart home kitchen aerator uses 1.5 gpm and new WaterSmart home bathroom aerator uses 1 gpm.
Toilet Dye Tabs
Dye tabs are placed in the tank of your toilet to help detect toilet flapper leaks. Many toilet leaks are silent so testing your toilet at least twice per year is recommended.
A toilet flapper is a rubber gasket-type device that seals the toilet tank from the toilet bowl. Over time, flappers break down and cause toilet leaks. If you have detected a toilet leak, Santa Rosa Water offers free toilet flappers for you to repair your toilet.
Hand-held hose nozzles that automatically shutoff are helpful in watering your garden efficiently.
