Providing bicycle parking is a simple, but effective way to support healthy, equitable, and sustainable transportation. This page contains resources for residents and businesses interested in ensuring bicycle parking is as convenient and secure as possible.
The City will install bike racks within the public right-of-way in commercial districts, parks, and other City-owned property as funding becomes available. To suggest a location, please use our Request a Bike Rack form.
We do not install racks on residential streets or private property. If you would like to request bike racks on private property, please share our Bike Rack Installation Guide with the business or property owner/manager.
NOT all bike racks are created equal! Please use our Bike Rack Installation Guide to ensure your business' bike racks adequately encourage and accommodate visitation by bike.
Bike Lockers
SMART, Santa Rosa Junior College, and the County of Sonoma provide BikeLink electronic lockers that are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. For more information about BikeLink locker locations and access, visit bikelink.org.
The City of Santa Rosa provides bike lockers in the 1st Street Parking Garage adjacent to the Santa Rosa Transit Mall. Users must have their own locks.
