The next regularly scheduled General Municipal Election for the City of Santa Rosa will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. This year, seats for the even-numbered council district 2, 4, and 6 will be up for election to fill terms through December 2026; as will, the seat for District 3, which will be completing the term of a vacated seat that ends in December 2024.

Under Santa Rosa's district-based election system, voters may only elect one council member for the Council district they are registered in. For this election, district lines were slightly modified due to the city's recent redistricting, which occurs following the U.S. Census conducted every 10 years.
