Tour a Santa Rosa Fire Station!

Santa Rosa Fire Department is committed to community engagement and educational interactions with the public. Our goal is to allow insight and opportunity for the public to see SRFD stations, meet on duty crews, and learn about the job, equipment, and services the agency provides. Station tour requests are currently being accepted for the 2024 year.

Tour Request Information

Guided by internal best practices and agency policy, Santa Rosa Fire Department will attempt to accommodate fire station tour requests to the public. The following guidelines help our agency run a smooth fire department calendar and ensure the fire department is able to balance the needs of the 911 system and agency operational needs with public requests. Please read the following information before contacting SRFD with a request.

Tours are given at the following stations:

Fire Station 1 located at 955 Sonoma Avenue. Tours are scheduled on the first Tuesday of each month.

Fire Station 2 located at 65 Stony Point Road. Tours are scheduled on the second Tuesday of each month.

Specific Requests for other stations are not guaranteed because of possible calls busyness or scheduled training.

Tours run from 30 to 45 minutes, depending upon the age of the children, interest, weather and/or group size. The visit includes a tour of the fire station, apparatus, demonstrations with the Engine and/or Truck and a safety discussion. The ratio of children to adult for each tour is one adult to every 4-5 children. And, there should not be more than 24-25 children per tour. Tours will be scheduled to begin from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please only schedule one tour at a time. Group tours should be scheduled a month in advance.

Keep in mind that there is always the possibility that fire personnel may be called out to an emergency during the scheduled tour. If this occurs, we will do our best to reschedule the tour.
