Becoming Independent

Becoming Independent (BI) is a community-based service organization established in 1967 to support individuals with intellectual disabilities lead meaningful and productive lives.  BI realizes that creative expression is an integral part of the human experience.  The BI Professional Art program fulfills this commitment to exploring and developing personal creativity by providing artists with inspiration, instruction, encouragement, and opportunities for exhibitions and sales.  Artists have showcased their work at numerous venues across Sonoma County.  BI Artists use a wide variety of mediums, including and not limited to; painting, drawing, ceramics, textile art, and jewelry making.

SRAG Color

The Santa Rosa Art Guild (SRAG), founded in 1956, is a non-profit community organization dedicated to practicing and stimulating interest in fine arts and crafts. Guild members use a wide variety of artistic media including oils, watercolors, acrylics, pastels, mixed media, collage, print making, photography and sculpture. This show reflects a wide range of media and focuses on local renditions of wine, vineyards, and area beauty. Guild activities include art demonstrations by members and other artists, paint-outs at nearby scenic locations, and art shows of members' work. All active artists are welcome to join the Guild.
