Ned Kahn Public Art Projects

AT&T Building Art Project: Digitized Field

The City of Santa Rosa is proud to host this spectacular public art work that is now a landmark for downtown Santa Rosa. Internationally renowned, award-winning artist, Ned Kahn, created this public artwork on the AT&T (formally SBC) Building in 2004. This artwork is a fascinating "wind-animated art installation that brings art to life with vivid movement and reflection of environmental colors!"

Ned Kahn's artwork is an immense sculpture, 40 feet wide and 62 feet tall consisting of a field of 3-inch by 3-inch aluminum leaves that are hinged so they move feely in the wind. The artwork is visible as cars and pedestrians enter the city center and can be scene from the freeway.
