Voted many times over as Sonoma County's best birthday party spot! Howarth Park offers a convenient and affordable party package option, as well as regular picnic areas, so you can spend more time having fun with your guests.

Regular Picnic Reservations

There are a number of sites throughout the park that you can reserve without purchasing a package. These include the Gazebo, Lower Oak, Cypress Point and Upper Oak picnic areas. Reservations can be made by calling the Picnic Reservation line at 707-543-3753. Note: Additional children can only be added on the day of the party by visiting the K-Land Train Station where we will supply you with additional ride wristbands. You can email us ahead of time at [email protected] to let us know you will be adding additional guests to your party package to expedite this process when you arrive at the park on your party day. The animal barn is open in the summer season only!

Party Picnic Spaces Location

Choose from 4 different reservable park locations for your party:

Party Area "A"

Listen to the festive carousel music during your party! This spot has 5 picnic tables, a barbecue, limited shade and is located behind the carousel.

Party Area "B"

Wave to the train engineer during your party! This spot is closest to the railroad tracks, behind the carousel. It has 4 picnic tables, a barbecue, and a bit more shade.

Party Area "C"

Kids can run between K-Land and the playground! This spot is located on the lower section of the lawn, behind the carousel. It has 3 picnic tables, barbecues, a grassy slope, and limited shade.

Party Area "D"

Closest to the Land of Imagination playground! It is conveniently located down the steps form the carousel, next to the playground. This is a sunny area with 4-wheelchair accessible picnic tables. Sorry, barbecues are not available or permitted in this area.

Weather

In the event of rain, Howarth Park rides are closed to the public. If this happens on your party day, you will have the choice of rescheduling your party or receiving a full refund. You will be contacted by 9am the morning of your party should the rides be closed.

Cancellation Policy

Santa Rosa Recreation and Parks must receive notice of a cancellation 2 weeks prior to date of reservation in order to receive a full refund. Refunds will not be given if cancellation notice is received less than 2 weeks before party is scheduled.

When Can I Schedule a Party

Howarth Park is open daily from sunrise to sunset, but park rides and attractions have separate seasonal hours. To ensure you get the most out of your party, be sure and plan it around the following ride operation schedules:

Spring 2023: April 1 - June 11

• Saturday and Sunday between 11am - 5pm
• Animal Barn Closed

Summer 2023: June 12 - August 3

• Saturday and Sunday between 11am - 5pm
• Monday - Thursday between 11am - 4:30pm

Party package will be available for pickup at the Train Station beginning at 11am on the day of your scheduled party. Please bring your party permit (or your receipt if you made the reservation online) to the train station to pick up your party package.
