On the first Saturday of every month, help take care of Santa Rosa Creek in the heart of downtown. The Greenway provides a home for river otter, kingfishers, steelhead trout as well as parks, public art, and recreation. All tools, snacks, and water provided. Wear shoes (no sandals, please) and weather appropriate clothes that can get a bit dirty.

On Saturday, April 18 from 8am to noon, the City of Santa Rosa is giving away up to 5 cubic yard of FREE compost! Santa Rosa Water will load your truck, trailer, or bucket with WaterSmart Compost, at no charge.
WaterSmart Compost made with biosolids and green waste is an excellent amendment for landscaping and gardening, closing the recycling loop locally and sustainably.
Please bring your own tarp and material to cover the load for safe transportation to your destination. Five cubic feet or compost or less per customer. FREE COMPOST IS FOR RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS ONLY.
