[ARCHIVED] GO-Biz Now Accepting Applications for California Competes Tax Credits

The California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) is now accepting applications for the California Competes Tax Credit (CCTC), an income tax credit available to businesses that are looking to locate or to grow and add new employees in California. With $80 million in total tax credits available, businesses of all sectors and sizes are analyzed and evaluated on twelve factors, including number of full-time jobs created, amount of investment, and strategic importance. 

The deadline to submit applications is Monday, August 17, at 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time), and the online application website will automatically close once this deadline has passed. Go to www.calcompetes.ca.gov to complete the application.

Members of the CCTC team are available to provide technical application assistance. In addition, an updated application guide, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and program regulations are available at www.business.ca.gov/california-competes-tax-credit. For applicants that are reapplying, the FAQs include instructions on how to copy information from a previously submitted application.
