[ARCHIVED] Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) – WATCH Forecast

Potential for Public Safety Power Shutoff

(Updated 9.5.20)
PG&E has updated their Weather Awareness page to reflect a PSPS “WATCH” for portions of the North Bay, including Sonoma County, for Tuesday (9/8) and Wednesday (9/9).

This does NOT mean a PSPS is imminent, and it is not yet known what areas of Sonoma County may potentially be impacted. It is important to make sure you’ll receive notifications from PG&E if a PSPS occurs and your household is impacted. Update your contact information with PG&E by calling 1-866-743-6589 or visit pge.com/mywildfirealerts.

The purpose of this post is to provide as much early information as possible and to raise awareness and remind our community of the tools and resources available to monitor and prepare for potential power outages. Learn more at PGE.com/weather or by visiting srcity.org/PowerOutage.
