Thank you, thank you for once again choosing Santa Rosa’s Howarth Park as the “Best Place to Take Kids” in Sonoma County for the Press Democrat’s 2020 Readers' Choice Awards! This honor means so much because it comes from you – our community! Howarth Park is a jewel for Santa Rosa and during this season of counting blessings, it certainly tops the City of Santa Rosa’s list of things for which to be thankful.
This year we want to especially thank all of our park patrons for following COVID-19 safety precautions, and ask that you please continue to Play Safe at our playgrounds so that we can keep our community and neighborhood parks open amid the coronavirus pandemic. To review a list of playground precautions required by state and county public health authorities, please visit srcity.org/PlaySafe.
Howarth Memorial Park is a 138-acre community park that provides endless recreational opportunities with a beautiful lake for fishing and boating, a softball field, tennis courts, picnic areas, unique playground structures, miles of hiking and jogging trails, and an amusement area featuring a miniature train ride, carousel, animal farm and pony rides.*
For more information about Howarth Park, please visit Howarth Park online.
*Please Note: Howarth Park’s amusement areas and picnic areas remain closed by order of the Sonoma County Public Health Officer and the California Department of Public Health to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Additionally, use of all City sports fields requires a Sports Field Permit issued by the City. No competitions, games, gatherings or spectators are allowed.
