Over the past year, the City has made progress on elements of the Housing Action Plan. A website has been established to provide reports, updates, status, timelines and detail on ways for the community to provide input as project efforts move forward.
Some highlights of the current work Include:
- Affordable Housing Funding: $3M NOFA awarded on May 23
- Consolidated permit intake counter established
- Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Policy and fee reduction near completion with a Council date in August/September
- Permit Streamlining Process and Design Review Process Update underway
In addition, the City is progressing on the following Affordable Housing Policy/Fee items:
- Inclusionary Housing Policy
- Update to the Infrastructure Impact Fees (Capital Facilities Fees, Parks)
- Update to the Affordable Housing Impact Fee
- Consideration of a Commercial Linage Fee
- Density Bonus Policy Update
