Colgan Creek Park Survey

NF_Colgan Creek Park Survey

Take the Colgan Creek Play Structure Design Survey!

The City of Santa Rosa Parks team is seeking community input on the preferred play structure design options for Colgan Creek Neighborhood Park. Survey is open until January 17, 2021.

TAKE THE SURVEY English: | Spanish

Colgan Creek Neighborhood Park is 2.47-acre property in southeast Santa Rosa, bordering Kawana Springs Creek. Amenities include ½ court basketball, picnic area, lawns, bike racks, trash cans, drinking fountain, paths, and two play areas (2-5 & 5-12). The play area designed for children ages 5-12 year’s old was damaged several years ago.

The manufacturer no longer supplies replacement parts for this play structure. The city is working with a local recreational supply company to replace this structure and there are two distinctively different playground options to consider. The City is seeking community input as to the preferred play structure design option.

The two play structure options:

Colgan Creek Park Play Equipment Options

1) Net Plex Option - Net Plex climbing structure with Alpine Slide and a Crab Trap net play structure to keep kids in motion. Also included is a Topsy Turny Spinner and traditional swings.

2) Hedra Option - The unique geometric configuration and continuous circuits, create a hive of evolving play that encourages exploration. Includes the Global Motion Sphere, Oodle swing and Gyro Spinner.
