On December 30, The State of California will open the application period for its announced allocation of $500 million for COVID-19 Relief Grant for Small Businesses, with grants of up to $25,000 to be distributed to underserved micro and small businesses.
This Round 1 application period will run from December 30, 2020, to January 8, 2021, with the first grants rolling out starting January 13. Please note, these grants will NOT be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. All applications will be processed by Lendistry.
Interested businesses can go to the now live grant website--careliefgrant.com--to learn more about criteria and eligibility to apply. In addition, The Napa-Sonoma Small Business Development Center is providing Grant Webinars to discuss eligibility requirements, what the funding can be used for, required application documents, and who to contact for assistance. Webinars occur at 11:00 a.m. on the dates listed on its webinar registration website.
Round 2 period has yet to be announced. Please note a business may only receive one grant and that applications will apply for both rounds for grant periods, so there will be no need to reapply for Round 2.
