During a City Council Study Session on Tuesday, Feb. 9, Council and community members received an update on Santa Rosa’s Homeless Services, including a review of current programs and new program options. Community members provided input during the public comment period. For those who missed the meeting, a video recording is available which provides pertinent information on the critical issue of homelessness in Santa Rosa and proposals to address community-wide concerns. Community members are encouraged to attend a virtual City Council study session on homeless services scheduled for next Tuesday, February 9th. An update on actions and plans to address homelessness in our community will be provided, including a review of existing programs and specific COVID-19 response programs. New concepts will also be discussed, such as safe parking and alternative shelter programs like the Safe Social Distancing Program previously offered in the parking lot at Finley Community Center. Community members who attend this virtual meeting may provide input during public comment.
