Actions planned for the week of February 8, 2021 by the Homeless Encampment Assistance Program (HEAP) to close an encampment in the Industrial Drive area have been paused following confirmation on Monday that six individuals tested positive for COVID-19. Those who tested positive, and some additional individuals who had relocated from the encampment to the City’s Sam Jones Hall (SJH) Homeless Shelter, have been offered placements at Sonoma County’s Alternate Care Site. Testing thus far of all SJH clients returned zero positive test results. Additional testing will be completed over the next week at both the encampment and SJH. LEARN ABOUT HEAP
