Your City Pools, a Haven Amid the Pandemic

Santa Rosa’s two spacious outdoor pools with their cool, clear water have always been alluring and busy, and that has been especially true recently. Since springtime, the pools at Ridgway Swim Center and Finley Aquatic Center have hosted more than 90,000 visitors – an impressive feat, when also maintaining many extra safety protocols and precautions to make it all happen! This attendance figure includes teaching 4,321 individuals to swim, a skill that once learned is rarely forgotten and is essential to staying confident and safe in and around the water. Here’s how Santa Rosans have enjoyed their City pools these past few months:

City Pools Attendance - Spring & Summer 2021

  • Lap & Masters Swimming: 30,743
  • Swimming Lessons: 27,692 (4,321 individuals)
  • Water Exercise & Water Polo 19,445
  • Recreation Swimming: 15,388
  • Lifeguard Training: 66

Thank you to the City’s Recreation team, including swim instructors, lifeguards, program coordinators, and pool maintenance staff for making a lasting impact!
