The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for the 2020 fire burn scar areas in Napa and Sonoma counties, including for both the interior valleys and mountains. The Watch is in effect from late Saturday night, Oct. 23 through Sunday evening, Oct. 24 when forecasted heavy rainfall over these areas may lead to flash flooding and debris flows.
Residents in or downstream of the identified areas are advised to monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should any Flash Flood Warnings be issued. Santa Rosa’s residents, including Glass Fire burn scar area households, are encouraged to follow rain-ready preparedness, information is available at srcity.org/RainReady.
