[ARCHIVED] Flood Advisory in Effect Until 10:15 AM, 10/24

Flood advisory, 10/24

The NWS has issued a Flood Advisory for eastern Sonoma County lasting until 10:15 AM this morning, Sunday 10/24 due to poor drainage caused by current intense rainfall.

Overflowing poor drainage areas are causing urban and small stream flooding in east Sonoma County. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen and 2 to 4 inches are still expected over the area this morning. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Please use extreme caution when driving – turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
