* WHAT… North winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts 30 to 45 mph expected.
* IMPACTS… Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS:
People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches.
*HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM THURSDAY (2/3) FOR NORTH BAY MOUNTAINS*
* WHAT… North winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts 50 to 65 mph expected. Peak wind gusts of 65 to 95 mph are possible on the lee side of higher ridges and peaks, especially near traditionally windy locations such as near Geyser Peak.
* IMPACTS… Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
