Caltrans and Federal Highway Administration have approved $4.75 million in roadway recovery funding to help restore portions of the City’s pavement network that were damaged following the 2017 Wildfire.
This funding approval allows the city to move the design phase forward to repair the following damaged roadways:
- Fountaingrove Parkway between Mendocino Avenue and Hadley Hill Drive South. Pavement recovery treatment will involve a combination of milling the top layer of pavement the applying a new layer of asphalt/concrete, and slurry seal including crack sealing and patching.
- Bicentennial Way between Mendocino Avenue and Lake Park Drive. Pavement recovery treatment will involve digout repairs and slurry seal including crack sealing and patching.
- Hopper Avenue between Crestview Drive and Airway Drive. For this section of damaged roadway, the City is planning to host a series of community meetings to hear residents’ vision and discuss reconfiguration designs alternatives along this section of Hopper Avenue.
The roadway recovery projects are expected to break ground in summer 2023.
