Water-Use Efficiency Award Winners
In celebration of Water Awareness Month, Santa Rosa City Council recognized four award recipients for their efforts to save water and increase water efficiency in their homes, neighborhoods, and businesses. Congratulations to the winners of the Water-Use Efficiency awards!
Champion Award: Park Landscape Maintenance
Park Landscape Maintenance worked with both commercial and residential customers to remove over 30,000 sq. ft. of turf in 2021 alone, resulting in an estimated 930,000 gallons of water saved annually.

Single-Family Residential Award: Richard Lane
An avid promoter of water use efficiency, in the Coffey Park community, through the installation of a low water use landscape, 5,000-gallon rainwater storage tank, and a graywater system to irrigate his landscape, Richard is estimated to save over 32,000 gallons of water each year.

Multi-Family Award: Dan Wylie
Dan's 20-unit apartment complex uses 15,000 gallons less per month, on average, compared to an apartment complex of a comparable size using WaterSmart techniques.

Commercial Award: Coddingtown Center
By utilizing Santa Rosa Water’s Irrigation Efficiency Rebate and converting more than 4,000 inefficient spray heads to high efficiency drip irrigation in their parking lots, Coddingtown Center is projected to save over 13,000 gallons a year.
