Our local water supply conditions remain critically low this summer. For the past three years the Russian River watershed has experienced less than average rainfall, including two of the driest years in over 100 years of record keeping. This severe and prolonged drought is significantly impacting local water storage in Lake Sonoma, Santa Rosa’s major source of drinking water, which is currently at 53% storage capacity and well below average for this time of year.
