Cal ISO EEA 2 Alert / Flex Alert - Conserve Power, Prepare for Potential Power Outages
The California Independent System Operator (ISO) has issued an Energy Emergency Alert (EEA) 2 today. An EEA 2 means energy deficiencies are expected and the ISO requests emergency energy from all resources and has activated its emergency demand response program. Residents are strongly urged to use less energy, especially between the hours of 4 to 9 p.m. The California Independent System Operator (ISO) has issued a statewide Flex Alert, a call for voluntary electricity conservation, for today from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., due to continuing forecasted high demand on the grid and tight power supplies. LEARN MORE

Cooling Center in Santa Rosa Open and Extended Through Thu., Sept. 8
Due to Excessive Heat Warning, the City of Santa Rosa opened a cooling center at the Finley Community Center (2060 W College Ave) until Thursday (9/8) from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. LEARN MORE

Spray Ground at Prince Gateway Park
Residents may cool off at the Spray Ground at Prince Gateway Park (171 Santa Rosa Ave), which is open for operation Mon-Sun, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please Note: This water feature has a collection system that filters and recirculates the water.
