Creek Critter: River Otter

News Flash_Creek Critter_River Otter

Did you know river otters are surprisingly common along Santa Rosa creeks, but it still takes persistence and some luck to see them? Viewing opportunities increase in the late summer because year-around waterways like Santa Rosa Creek are heavily used. Although otters hunt most actively at dawn and dusk (biologists call this crepuscular), you might see an otter any time of the day and even in the heart of the downtown.
