[ARCHIVED] Water Supply Update - September 22, 2022

News Flash_Drought

Despite the welcome rain last weekend, the drought is still here. The supply conditions in Lake Sonoma, which stores a substantial portion the region’s drinking water, are historically low. Lake Sonoma holds multiple years of water supply for the region, but the National Weather Service now predicts a high likelihood of La Niña conditions persisting through early winter. This means we all need to make a concerted effort to save water now for the potentially rainless days ahead.

Santa Rosa and the region have done a fantastic job of achieving water savings so far. This is good news because it means we can stretch our supplies by making every drop count. What will you do to save water this fall?  For water saving tips, rebates, free devices, and more, visit
