You are invited to attend a ceremony recognizing rebuilding efforts and honoring our resilient community on the 5th anniversary of the devastating 2017 wildfires. The event will be held in Coffey Neighborhood Park (1524 Amanda Place in Santa Rosa) on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022, from 10 a.m. to approximately 11 a.m.
Speakers at the event will include Santa Rosa Mayor Chris Rogers, Sonoma County Supervisor James Gore, Sonoma County Supervisor Chris Coursey, Sonoma County Supervisor Susan Gorin, State Senator Mike McGuire, Congressman Jared Huffman, Assemblymember Jim Wood, HUD Field Office Director for Northern California Eduardo Cabrera, Cal OES Director Mark Ghilarducci, FEMA Region 9 Administrator Robert J. Fenton, Jr., and Santa Rosa Fire Chief Scott Westrope.
ASL and Spanish interpretation, along with headphones for Spanish-speaking members of the public, will be available at the event. For those who cannot attend in person, the event will also be livestreamed via the City of Santa Rosa’s YouTube Channel, Youtube.com/CityofSantaRosa, starting at 10 a.m. It also will be shared on the County of Sonoma’s Facebook page.
