Traffic control measures are scheduled to be in place at the Fulton Road/Piner Road intersection starting Tuesday, October 25 and continuing through Friday, October 28, as work continues along the Fulton Road Widening and Improvements project. On these days the traffic signal will be turned to flashing red between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. This portion of the project will install a 42-inch storm drain pipeline beneath the intersection to enhance rainwater diversion off the street and into our local waterways. Once underway, this work is anticipated to require 3-4 days to complete, however, schedules are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.
During this time, please anticipate traffic delays occurring at the intersection, as the traffic control signal will be turned to flashing red, requiring all approaching vehicles to come to a complete stop. After stopping, drivers may proceed when safe, observing the right-of-way rules.
We appreciate your patience while we work to complete this portion of the one-mile Fulton Road Widening and Improvements project. For details on the project and to subscribe to receive weekly email updates on the project, please visit FultonRoadProject.com/.
