City Receives Award of Excellence for Downtown Station Area Specific Plan

Planning and Economic Development staff were on-hand to receive the Award of Excellence for Comprehensive Plan (Large Jurisdiction) and the APA CA 2022 Advancing Diversity and Social Change in Honor of Paul Davidoff Award

The City of Santa Rosa and Dyett and Bhatia received awards from the American Planning Association, California Chapter (APA CA), this month for the City’s update to the Downtown Station Area Specific Plan. The team won in category of Comprehensive Plan (Large Jurisdiction) from the APA CA's Northern Section, and it also won the APA CA’s statewide Award of Excellence (Hard Won Victories) category. 

Earlier this month, City staff attended a ceremony to officially receive the awards. Staff on-hand to receive it included (pictured below, from left to right) Town of Windsor Community Development Director Patrick Streeter (formerly with the City of Santa Rosa), Deputy Director of Economic Development Raissa de la Rosa, Assistant City Attorney Ashle Crocker, Supervising Planner of Advanced Planning Amy Lyle, Supervising Planner of Current Development Amy Nicholson, Deputy Director of Planning Jessica Jones, Director of Planning and Economic Development Clare Hartman, Dyett & Bhatia Principal Andrew Hill (Dyett & Bhatia acted as consultant on the project).
