Santa Rosa envisions a community where walking and bicycling are comfortable, convenient, and common for people of all ages and abilities. The Local Road Safety Plan (LRSP) promotes this vision with a goal to increase the safety of local roadways for all users.
To further the city’s vision, a series of LRSP community meetings we held earlier this year to gain community input in identifying potential roadway safety countermeasures to reduce the overall rate of collisions along high priority collision corridors identified in the Bicycle and Pedestrian Mater Plan (BPMP) Update.
Community input was applied as the final design plan was refined, unique to each of the BPMP identified priority corridors. Residents are invited to attend the Local Road Safety Community Meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 5:30 p.m. to review the North Dutton Avenue roadway design and learn about the recommended roadway safety improvements.
