On Nov. 29, the Santa Rosa Police Department’s Community Engagement Team, in collaboration with the local nonprofit, Operation Christmas Tree, teamed up to give away approximately 300 Christmas trees to Santa Rosa families in need. In addition to receiving a Christmas tree, each family received a box of ornaments, lights, a tree stand, and a food box from Farm to Pantry.
“This event provided SRPD officers and staff with the opportunity to impact so many families we serve in our community,” explained Sgt. Matt Crosbie. “It was an honor and a joy to see the excitement on the faces of all the families and children who attended and know how this experience touched the hearts of all those involved.”
