Pre-Construction Site Preparations for the Future Site of Fire Station 5

Future Site of Fire Station 5

The City is contracting with the Professional Tree Care Company to remove 14 trees at the future Fire Station 5 site on the Corner of Fountaingrove Parkway and Stagecoach Road in December 2022. Although construction is not anticipated to begin until summer 2023, removing the trees now avoids the bird and bat nesting seasons. There will be minimal impact to the traffic adjacent to the project site, and the work is expected to only take about four days to complete. Much of the removed tree material will be processed through a woodchipper on site, and the wood chips will be utilized at a local City Park.

Note: Trees removed for the project will be mitigated in accordance with the City’s Tree Ordinance, requiring 70 trees to be planted either onsite or offsite at other City properties as needed.
