[ARCHIVED] Holiday Gift Ideas and New Year’s Resolutions with Santa Rosa Recreation & Parks

We have our Santa hats on at Santa Rosa Recreation & Parks and are busy getting ready for day camps over the holidays! As of this writing (Dec. 14), a few spots are still available in our Winter Sewing & Craft CampFencing Adventure Camp, and a variety of Basketball Camps. Plus, keep in mind that recreation programs make awesome gifts, and are a great way to jump start your New Year’s resolution! Just register for yourself or your loved one through our registration portal (we’re sorry, gift cards are not available). We strive to provide something of interest for everyone in the family, so please take a look below at classes and activities starting soon and plan now to join us!

For Youth

Lifeguard Training Program (Ages 15+)
Are you a strong swimmer who enjoys being close to the water and working outdoors with your community? Consider taking our excellent Lifeguard Training program (December, January, and February options available). The program provides all the training and certification needed to become a professional lifeguard – a position we are always looking to fill at our two City pools. LEARN MORE & REGISTER

Fundamentals of Photography
Whether shooting digital or film, there are certain fundamentals in photography that have never changed. This course will focus on some of these fundamentals, such as establishing a technical foundation and using that foundation to unleash one's creative vision. Participants will learn composition theory, how to better read light, and the fundamentals and importance of editing. REGISTER

Ukulele - Bill's Beginners & Beyond
Join a group of ukulele enthusiasts who love to have fun while playing and singing together! A few basic chords (C, F, G7) are enough to get you started. Some experience and ukulele required. Register using the link(s) below.
