Santa Rosa, Calif. – The City of Santa Rosa Public Art Program, in conjunction with the National Arts Program, is proud to announce the opening of the 20th Annual National Arts Program exhibition and competition, on display and open to the public through April 21, 2023, at the Finley Community Center.
This program provides Santa Rosa artists of all ages with an opportunity to showcase their artistic accomplishments and encourages artistic growth. This year’s exhibition features 160 works by artists of all ages and levels of experience, and participants are eligible for $4,000 in awards.
The public is invited to view all the participants’ works in person at the Finley Community Center (2060 W. College Ave.), which is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The awards ceremony and reception, also open to the public and at the Finley Community Center, take place on Sunday, March 12, from 3 to 5 p.m.
National Arts Program was established in 1985 by the National Art Program Foundation to inspire, acknowledge, and reward creative accomplishments throughout the nation. The program began as a pilot project in Philadelphia and has extended nationally to include 90 venues in over 30 states. The concept of the National Arts Program is to provide an uninhibited opportunity for all people to present their talents at any level in a public exhibition, free to artists and the public.
