The first round for the City of Santa Rosa’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Spaces Mini-Grant program is now open for submissions through June 30 for eligible applicants. Up to $5,000 is available for each eligible submission.
Administered by the Office of Community Engagement, the grant program allows for nonprofits, neighborhood groups/associations, community groups/associations, and schools to submit an application for an event, class, workshop, or project that celebrates cultural wealth and educational opportunities for the community around DEIB efforts in Santa Rosa. All submissions must be free to the public, reside within city limits, and be run by the applicant.
This is the first open period, with the full schedule listed here:
- Apr. 5 – Jun. 30; funding selection on July 31**NOW OPEN
- Jul. 1 – Sept. 30; funding selection on Oct. 31
- Oct. 1 – Dec. 31; funding selection on Jan. 30
- Jan. 1 – Mar. 30, 2024; funding selection on Apr. 30
All applications will be reviewed and evaluated by a grant review team composed of Office of Community Engagement staff and an ad-hoc committee of the Community Advisory Board (CAB), who will determine final funding. This one-time grant program is being funded with $150,000 received from PG&E settlement and from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), and it was approved by City Council in February 2022.
