[ARCHIVED] Bay Area Bike to Wherever Day 2023

NF_Bike to Wherever Day 2023

May is National Bike Month and Bike to Work/Wherever Day is right around the corner! Counties across the Bay Area will have energizer stations ready to hand out treats, commemorative swag bags, and much more for Bike to Wherever Day on Thursday, May 18!

The City of Santa Rosa will celebrate National Bike to Work/Wherever Day by hosting a bike energizer station from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on May 18, at Prince Gateway Park, located at 171 Santa Rosa Avenue. Be sure to stop by as you pedal to work, school, errands, for fun, or anywhere else you need to go.

The City's Bike to Wherever Day energizer station at Prince Gateway Park will offer bicyclists a free pancake breakfast courtesy of the team from The Sports Basement and riders may refill their water bottles courtesy of Santa Rosa Water’s Hydration Station. At the City’s Active Transportation booth be sure to pick up some fun bike themed swag, check-out city bike maps identifying current and planned bike lane installations, and maybe even win some prizes!

Visit Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition Bike to Wherever Day Energizer Stations Map for location and hours of all BTWD 2023 energizer stations happening in Sonoma County.

The best way to celebrate Bike Month is to get on your bike, ride to work, ride to the grocery store, ride to school, or just ride for the sheer joy of riding! Biking is one of the few activities that checks all the boxes at once – it’s active, practical, social, sustainable, healthy, stress-relieving, affordable, and fun.

Bike Month is all about empowering new riders, so if you’re already a regular rider for whom every month is Bike Month, help the cause by encouraging your friends, family, and coworkers to discover the joy and freedom of bicycling.
