When it was learned late this summer that the stairs and landing for the 23-year-old Ridgway slide were in need of crucial repairs, staff from the Santa Rosa Recreation & Parks Department knew they had to move quickly to prevent closure of one the community's favorite water attractions.
As Brandon Hamann, Aquatics Supervisor explains in this video, it was all hands on deck with support from many City departments to pull the task off successfully during the swim center's planned maintenance closure, and within a remarkably short three-week timeframe from start of repair and restoration to completion.
